Coaches - Richard Cattle & Craig Moore
Richard & Craig have been active in endurance sports as competitors for a number of years.
In 2007 Richard was selected to represent Ireland in the World Triathlon Championships Age Group in Hamburg and has also been selected for The European Championships in Athlone and for the World Championships in Budapest 2010. Richard is a BTF level 1 certified Triathlon coach.
Having been actively involved in sport in New Zealand, Craig represented the Canterbury Country Swim Team, and has been a member of the Rangiora High School 1st XV, Swim Team and Water Polo Team. As well as this he has represented Canterbury Rugby League and was selected for the New Zealand Southern Zone Rugby League team. After moving to Ireland in 2002, he started competing in triathlon, and in 2006 represented New Zealand at the World Age Group Championships in Lausanne and then again in Vancouver in 2008. Craig is also a BTF level 1 certified Triathlon coach, and is looking forward to coaching you to your goal.
The UK Coaching Certificate
The UK Coaching Certificate is a key recommendation by the Coaching Task Force and is a four-level learning system, developed to build on good practise that already exists within existing coaching structures - and ensure equivalence of qualifications across sport
What does the UKCC mean for athletes being coached by a UKCC coach
If your coach has a UKCC endorsed qualification they can be sure they are delivering the most up to date, cutrting edge coaching techniques
UKCC qualfcations are athlete-centered taking into account their needs and learning styles
Sports delivering UKCC endorsed qualifications have commented on the improvement in the level of quality of coaches who have completed UKCC courses
All UKCC coachers will be CRB checked - they can be sure their coach is sfety and quality assured
The International Triathlon Union
In February 2008, the ITU accredited the Brithish Coaching system. To date, this endorsement has only been awarded to Great Britain and Australia
